ECON 100A
Microeconomics is about people’s decisions and interactions. When do people’s decisions lead to good or bad outcomes for society? How can we make “good” public policy decisions, and what does that even mean? This course critically analyzes the basic tools and models of microeconomics that explain aspects of questions like these in different contexts.
ECON 100B
Macroeconomics is the study of the structure and performance of national economies and of the policies that governments use to try to affect economic performance. We develop models that can be usefully applied to generate realistic explanations about the behavior of important macroeconomic variables
